MWC this year saw some really interesting phone from Huawei - icing of the cake would be the Huawei Ascend D quad. The company's new flagship will use quad-core processors homebrewed rather than an NVIDIA chip, TI or Qualcomm sourced.
However, sticking to the chipset itself does not run smoothly Huawei might expect, the quad D has been delayed because of problems with making the processor. Huawei vice president Yu Chengdong say that mass production of mobile phones will only begin in August.
Huawei R & D team has been notified to increase its efforts to fix this problem. However, it would at least until August (maybe even later) before Huawei Ascend D quad for sale.
The delay will also affect the D quad XL (which is a quad D with large 2500mAh battery), but no info on when it will go into mass production.
Thanks to Oliver for the tip!
